BARBARA S. MATOS 

Director, Diversity

Barbara Matos is Director, Diversity.  She reports to Josie Thomas, Senior Vice President & Chief Diversity Officer, CBS Corporation.

Matos reports to Thomas on diversity initiatives across the company.  She engages with diverse partners and local and national advocacy groups to enhance outreach.  She also works closely on CBS Diversity Institute Workshops and the CBS Diversity Comedy Showcase.

In 2000 Matos, together with Thomas, created the Diversity Division at CBS. In 2009 she was promoted to Manager.  Prior to that, she did international contracts for CBS International, Business Affairs (1995-2000).  Before joining CBS, Matos was a paralegal at Mahler & Harris, P.C. and a registered Interpreter with the U.S. Department of Justice (1987-1995) and prior to that a paralegal with Gersowitz & Libo, Esqs., where she also managed the day to day operations of the firm (1986-1987).

Matos is a graduate of St. John’s University.  She is actively involved with the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) and the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors (HOLA).  Matos also served as a Big Sister in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City program.
