Successful New York City Actors' Workshops!
CBS Diversity proudly hosted actor workshops at CBS headquarters in NYC on Thursday, May 31 and Friday, June 1. The actor workshop is one of the elements of the multifaceted CBS Diversity Institute, which is now in its 9th year and designed to enhance opportunities in front of and behind the camera.
Fern Orenstein, CBS VP Casting, worked one-on-on with each actor, marking her fifth New York session. The actor workshops are designed to aid actors in honing necessary skills to land television auditions and roles. CBS Casting was on hand to critique headshots, and provide practical tips and career advice.
SVP & Chief Diversity Officer Josie Thomas noted, “It is a pleasure to see such a broad spectrum of diversity represented in our workshops conducted across the country. We are particularly pleased to work today with a wide range of partners including the Alliance for Inclusion in the Arts, which promotes and advocates for full inclusion of performers with disabilities.”
Members of Alliance for Inclusion in the Arts, Asian American Film Lab (AAFL), Hispanic Organization of Latino Actors (HOLA), New Federation Theatre, SAG and AFTRA participated.
