Hey! This is Tracie Thoms from "Cold Case." When I started "Cold Case" 4 years ago I was hired for four episodes with the possibility of being a series regular.
I thought I'd surely be fired!
But here I am, four and a half years later, still asking people to remember what happened a long time ago and bringing justice to murderers who thought they'd gotten away with it. And I'm loving every minute of it!
The best thing about being in my position is because I'm one of six cops; I have more free time than I would if there were fewer of us. I've gotten to do some really cool projects because the police work is spread out over the six of us.
I just completed a film called
"I Will Follow" along with Salli Richardson-Whitfield. I'm also super-busy putting together my first cabaret show!
I did one last year as a benefit for my high school in Baltimore, The Baltimore School For The Arts, but now I'm doing one again this year at Center Stage in Baltimore. MD. from April 28th-May 2nd. It's terrifying!!!!
But I'm gonna face my fears and do it. Ever since I appeared in the film version of "Rent" people have been on me to do it, so I figured this was the year!
I'm also doing one in NYC this summer, details to come. So...that's what's taking up my time away from the "Cold Case" set these days!
